In 1939 during the war, Wilbert "lips"
Hankee started serving the Slatington community with Sunoco Gasoline
and vehicle
service. With pride and devotion he brought friendly
service and the best Gasoline in the area he managed to
start a company that would survive well beyond his
years. In 1964 the company was handed down to Wilbert Hankee's son in law Forrest Bub Hallman. Forrest made
many strives in the service industry in the Slatington
community.
As his predecessor passed to him, Forrest
passed the legacy to his son who had worked for him since he was a child no
older then 12 years old. In 1976 after graduation
Russell Hallman was brought in as a partner. To this
day the company is still serving the Northern Lehigh
Community with honesty, integrity and friendly
service.
